Be One…Trauma Informed Yoga

Many of us have had a traumatic experience. Maybe it was a difficult pregnancy or birth, the loss of a child or parent, sexual or physical abuse, or a serious illness. Many studies have shown that our bodies remember and store these experiences. Often, this can have unintended emotional and physiological effects on the body.

Trauma Informed (Sensitive) Yoga provides a safe space  to begin integrating mind, body, and spirit. Through the gentle movement, breath, and meditation, students learn healthy coping skills and ways to utilize those skills both on and off the mat. In trauma informed yoga, students are empowered to make their own choices.

Trauma informed yoga is not a substitute for clinical counseling, but can be an effective addition to therapy. Our Trauma Informed Yoga sessions can be taken privately or in a 4 week semi-private series.

Our next semi-private series begins on Thursday, November 2 at 6:30 pm.

All semi-private series at Be One Yoga are limited to 4 students to allow for a more personalized experience.  Registration required by November 2.
 

Be One Yoga for Healing & Pain Management

If you suffer from fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome or are healing from a serious illness, a gentle yoga practice can help. Yoga has been proven to be a therapeutic practice that can help you to gently gain flexibility, strength, and mobility. Learning to connect the mind, body, and spirit through breath work, gentle movement, and meditation is also helpful for managing pain along with the anxiety and depression that come from living with chronic pain. Practicing yoga will empower you with tools to continue walking your healing journey.  A variety of props, including a chair, will be utilized if/when necessary.

Be One Yoga for Pain Management can be taken privately by scheduling a private session here, or in a 4 week semi-private series.
